Sharp-eyed Coast Guard crews have learned to keep an extra-close watch on Anguilla Cay, which is officially part of the Bahamas. The thing that makes it such a special place is a convenient location along the refugee route between Cuba and Miami. When they spotted movement earlier this month, it guided the teams to rescue another 10 stranded Cubans lured to America by Joe Biden’s red carpet welcome policy.
Coast Guard to the rescue
Democrats are convinced that socialism is the only way to go. The problem with that line of reasoning is that people who have been trapped in socialist regimes like Cuba can’t wait to escape. That’s why the Coast Guard has to keep such vigilance in the area.
The only way the poorer Cubans can leave their island paradise commune is on rickety and makeshift boats and rafts. Some even try to swim across, even though very few actually make it.
On October 11, the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Charles David Jr. landed on Anguilla Cay to safely transfer 10 marooned Cubans who arrived in “a rustic vessel.” They declared the boat not seaworthy and “brought the migrants aboard, due to safety of life at sea concerns.”
Once aboard, “all migrants receive food, water, shelter and basic medical attention.” These communist refugees didn’t get their dream of American freedom. Instead, they were turned over to Bahamian authorities.

An HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew attached to Coast Guard Air Station Miami first spotted the dubious vessel and told watchstanders at Key West that the 10 people on board were attempting a landing on the remote and uninhabited island. They quickly “dropped food, water and a radio to coordinate the rescue of the people.”
According to Ensign Gabby Busching, as part of their regular duties, the crews “patrol the Florida Straits, Windward Passage and the Mona Passage to save lives by removing migrants from unsafe environments and deterring dangerous illegal migrant activity.”
Rescued 13 this month
The Coast Guard has already rescued 13 Cubans since the start of October. A look at the statistics shows they hauled aboard 5,396 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2016, the last year Obama was in charge.
Under trump the numbers dropped drastically to only 49 in Fiscal Year 2020. The numbers have been climbing back up since last summer and there were 838, so far, in Fiscal Year 2021. That is entirely the Democrats’ doing.
Biden’s wide open borders may be great from a New World Order perspective but he’s luring many Cubans to their deaths. Back in February, the Coast Guard rescued three refugees, two men and a woman who had been stuck on the lifeless lump of rock an entire 33 days.

They survived on “coconuts, conchs and rats.” There was no fresh water anywhere on the island so to avoid deadly dehydration they relied entirely on coconuts. They related that their boat “had hit a storm five weeks ago and that they had swum to the island.”
The only reason the trio were spotted by the Coast Guard is because they managed to put together a makeshift flag to wave at passing aircraft. Passing by a mere 500 feet above the waves, the aircrew barely noticed.
“I’ve seen this island many times, but it kind of stood out,” Lt. Riley Beecher, commander of the aircraft that first spotted the migrants explains. “As we got closer, right on top of the flag, two individuals came out frantically waving their hands, trying to signal us down that they were really in distress.” He added, they “are incredibly lucky to be alive. It can be pretty unforgiving out there.”
