The right-wing guerrilla group of journalists known as Project Veritas was specially trained in covert surveillance techniques by none other than Blackwater’s Eric Prince and British MI6 officer Richard Seddon. Prince wanted James O’Keefe’s unit trained in skills like “recruiting sources and carrying out secret recordings.”
Guerrilla press unit trained to defend America
According to an article in the New York Times, Erik Prince is “recruiting former spies” to help James O’Keefe with Project Veritas stings. If they’re going to fight like supermen to defend Truth, Justice, and the American Way, then they better be well trained for it.
The founder of private security firm Blackwater WorldWide used his family’s ranch in Wyoming as a secret training camp in covert operations. Class was taught by Richard Seddon, described as “a former officer of Britain’s foreign intelligence agency MI6.”
In 2017, O’Keefe and his crew were invited to Wyoming for specialized training. A spokesman for Prince told The Intercept, Prince, who happens to be the brother of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, “supports Project Veritas’s mission of uncovering government largesse and corruption, and has allowed Project Veritas to use his family’s ranch in Wyoming.”
Teacher’s union sting
Seddon reportedly “oversaw a 2017 undercover operation” conducted by Project Veritas to copy documents and tape conversations in a Michigan chapter of the teacher’s union.” In the American Federation of Teachers sting, “Seddon directed an undercover operative to secretly record AFT Michigan’s local leaders and gather potentially damaging information on the union.”
Of course, AFT Michigan was quick to sue the group in federal court. Trial is scheduled for November. The watchdog group isn’t worried. They argue that their actions are perfectly legal and protected by the First Amendment. James O’Keefe told the Times, where to stick it. Project Veritas is a “proud independent news organization.”
They have lots of cases working. “No one tells Project Veritas who or what to investigate.” Whistle-blowing sources were shoveling “confidential documents” and “insights into internal processes” at them. They were also “wearing hidden cameras to expose corruption and misconduct.” CNN and Planned Parenthood were also targets of the group.
Trump, Prince, and Veritas all on same side
Because all three men are fighting the same battles against deep state corruption, its no surprise to find them working together. Trump has re-tweeted many Project Veritas videos and met with James O’Keefe before the 2016 election. His charitable foundation also donated at least $10,000 to the group. Last summer, O’Keefe was invited to the White House for the “social media summit.”
Not only is Eric Prince the brother of Betsy DeVos, he’s long been known as an ardent Trump supporter and has “informally advised the White House on some major foreign policy decisions.”
