When Kamala Harris first mentioned Walz as her VP, there was some low-hanging fruit that everyone went after right away.
One of which was his DUI, which had initially been written off as everyone makes a mistake and deserves a second chance.
It turns out it is not quite as simple as we had believed.
He Lied Again
Walz has proven himself to be a serial liar over the course of his career.
He has pretty much lied about everything at every stage, which also now includes his DUI.
During Walz’s 2006 campaign, his staffers made it sound as though the entire arrest was a huge mistake and that Walz was not drinking.
At the time, a local outlet was told, “The DUI charge was dropped for a Reason: it wasn’t true.
“The trooper had him drive to the station and then leave on his own after being at the station.
“Tim feels bad about speeding and has paid the ticket and apologized to his family at the time it happened.”
That account was disputed by the Nebraska State Police, which stated, “Under NSP procedure, a person suspected of impaired driving is not allowed to continue driving.
“In this case, the suspect was transported by the trooper and was lodged in Dawes County Jail.”
Walz was doing 96 mph, in a 55 mph zone, and he blew 0.128% when the legal limit was 0.10%.
Walz was fined $200 and his license was suspended for 90 days for the violation.
I would not consider this by itself something to be too worried about, but we have to look at the big picture here in Walz lying about how he quit the National Guard, his rank at retirement, and now this.
Everything the man says is just a blatant lie, so how can he possibly be trusted to be one step away from the big chair in the Oval Office?
