Rand Paul probably just wants to get Dr. Fauci on the record repeatedly for doing what he does. Dr. Fauci will never admit to what he’s doing. If he does it will be years down the road after he’s been out of office and he feels free to speak of what happened. He vacillates. The virus could do this, it could do that…Why are we pushing the vaccine if we still have to wear a mask?
Rand puts it out there
That we’re always going to need a mask, regardless of being vaccinated or not. Dr. Fauci said there isn’t a big enough variant to study yet. Are we ever going to get that? The flu is still here. AIDS is still here. There are multiple variants on the flu every year.
Rand is right. If people could get that vaccination and take off the mask, go back to normal, there would be a lot less hesitation. Otherwise there’s going to be a new strain every couple months. The double mask is indeed theater, whether Dr. Fauci will admit to it or not. It’s ridiculous. Not even medical professionals wear more than one. It’s the reason behind exaggerated pictures of Fauci photo shopped wearing a box of masks. If two is better, why not the whole box?
Rand doesn’t care
If Dr. Fauci is above reproach. He’ll reproach him. “You’re telling everyone to wear a mask,” Paul questioned, “If we’re not spreading the infection, isn’t it just theater? You have the vaccine and you’re wearing two masks — isn’t that theater?” Of course it’s theater. It’s been that since the start.
When Fauci got mad and shot back, “Here we go again with the theater. Let’s get down to the facts”. Facts would indeed be appreciated. Look at Florida. It’s been opened up. Back when all this started, Sweden stayed open. Their infection and death rate was the same as those countries or states that were closed down.
Fauci goes into control mode
He agrees with Rand, but then he names a strain. There’s always going to be strains, doctor. “I agree with you that you very likely would have protection from wild type for at least six months if you’re infected.” Huh? What’s this “wild type”? The reason we’ll always have to wear a mask, Mr,. Paul.
Rand insisted, “You’re making policy based on conjecture. You just want people to wear a mask for a couple more years. You’ve been vaccinated and you parade around in two masks for show.”
