The United States has devolved into a dumping ground for illegal aliens, some of which will do us harm. Biden has been allowing this but with the election coming up, he might be open to doing something about it. He’s considering an executive order to restrict alien eligibility to apply for asylum but nothing is finalized. If it happens it will likely be the end of April. Poll numbers are the reason.

He’s only signaling this to stay elected because he’s had this power all along. Biden stalled. He spoke on Univision with Enrique Acevedo.
Acevedo asked, “Have you made a final decision on an executive order in terms of what you want to do at the border, including being able to close it as suggested?” The President replied,
“I suggested that. We are examining whether I have that power or not. When the border has more than 5,000 people a day trying to cross it because you can’t manage it, [we can] slow it down. [But] there is no guarantee that I will have all that power on my own without legislation.”

“The provision Biden is eyeing would restrict the ability of immigrants to claim asylum, and doesn’t require congressional approval.” Axios revealed “there’s a fierce debate internally about the legality and politics of a Trump-like lockdown. But Biden, briefed on polls of rising voter anger, wants a dramatic step.”
The president’s top priority is to keep the public safe and be aware of national security, both of which are in question when illegals stream into the country daily. A February Gallup poll said immigration is a big problem.

Gallup said people aren’t happy with Biden
“Immigration now sits alone at the top of the most important problem list, something it has done only occasionally in Gallup’s trend and not since 2019. A separate question in the survey finds a record-high 55 percent of U.S. adults, up eight points from last year, saying that ‘large numbers of immigrants entering the United States illegally’ is a critical threat to U.S. vital interests. The prior high was 50 percent in 2004.”
Biden is paying lip service to this. Don’t hold your breath on any action since he keeps saying he can’t do anything about it. In January he said as much, “I’ve done all I can do. Just give me the power. Give me the border patrol. Give me the people. The judges. Give me the people who can stop this and make it work right.”
