Senator Lindsey Graham is about to sponsor a bill that would direct federal troops to be used directly against Mexican drug cartels. Since Mexico can’t do the job, we need to do it for them. Joe Biden and his handlers appear to be oblivious to the problem but they’re probably just ignoring it.

War on Mexican cartels

Senator Lindsey Graham is determined to do something about the out of control “proliferation of dangerous drugs, including highly lethal fentanyl, brought into the United States by the cartels.” On Monday, March 6, Graham announced that he’s introducing a bill to eliminate the cartel violence, with force.

He knows that to accomplish that, we also need to stomp out the smuggling which elevates their reign of terror to shadow government status. The kidnapping of four Americans in Matamoros prompted his measure. Two of the victims were found dead Tuesday.

Joe Biden is barely aware of which flavor ice cream he has in the dish, while his handlers seem oblivious to the whole drug fueled problem. “This administration has done nothing about it,” Graham chided. The South Carolina senator promises to introduce legislation “to make certain Mexican drug cartels foreign terrorist organizations under US law.

That, Graham explains, sets “the stage to use military force if necessary to protect America from being poisoned by things coming out of Mexico.” Things like meth and fentanyl, along with migrants and terrorists from all over the world.

Former Attorney General William Barr had a few things to say on the subject of Mexican mobsters in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece. Graham found a lot of inspiration in it. The senator agrees that “the U.S. should designate the cartels as terrorist groups and confront them the same way past administrations confronted ISIS in the Middle East.

The bill Graham hammered together would “pave the way” for direct use of our military forces against the drug lords and their operations.

Get tough on Mexico

Graham insists he “would follow Bill Barr’s advice and get tough on Mexico.” While the kidnapped Americans have been grabbing headlines, “it’s not just the hostages. Number one, I’d do everything I could to get them back. I’d do what [former President Donald] Trump did.

I’d put Mexico on notice. ‘If you continue to give safe haven to fentanyl drug dealers, then you’re an enemy of the United States.” The cartels have better equipment than the Mexican police.

Lindsey Graham has a firm warning that Mexico must “clean up your act or we’re going to clean it up for you.” Both Graham and Barr realize that “the government of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is at the mercy of the cartels.

The entire Mexican government “is being held hostage by tens of thousands of paramilitary members of terrorist organizations that effectively control Mexico.

At this stage, Graham notes “it’s pretty close” to “a failed narco-state.” That’s because “They can use violence and oceans of cash to corrupt the government.

Meanwhile, “The government has no will, and it doesn’t have the ability to deal with the cartels.” All President Obrador needs to do is “stand aside” and “let the US take on the cartels if he doesn’t want to do so.
