The GOP just found out that Louisiana is back to being red country again.
Jeff Landry just won the gubernatorial election in an absolute landslide.
Winning almost 52% of the vote, he avoided the dreaded runoff against the leading Democrat.

Louisiana runs a jungle election, meaning it is an open race with someone needing 50% or more of the vote in order to avoid the runoff.
Landry was the clear leader in the election, but with eight GOP candidates and only two Democrats, most expected it to be a runoff race.
It turns out, it was not even close.
Landry, who is MAGA, won 51.56%, just getting himself over the needed margin.
Second place was as expected, with Shawn Wilson finishing as the runner-up, and Landry almost doubled his vote.
Republican Governors Association chairwoman Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa congratulated Landry on the big win, stating, “Congratulations to Governor-Elect Jeff Landry on tonight’s impressive victory.
“Governor-Elect Landry stands for law and order, putting Louisiana families first, and building opportunity and economic prosperity.
“We look forward to working with Governor-Elect Landry as Louisiana’s next governor and congratulate him for flipping Louisiana red and putting away his race early.”
If this is a sign of things to come next November, Trump will be loving it.
Now let’s just hope the House can get its act together so conservatives can take full control of the government and get his country back on track again.
