Newsom Election INTERFERENCE, New Law is UNCONSTITUTIONAL

California Governor Gavin Newsom is upset that people are posting AI memes of him and his precious little Kamala.

So, last week, Newsom signed three new laws to ban AI election memes.

The legislation is already being challenged in lawsuits.

Don’t Say Bad Things

Newsom was apparently upset there were AI-created memes and videos that took a few shots, Harris and Newsom.

One of them caught the attention of Elon Musk, who reposted it, which sent Newsom into action to start banning them.

The one video I saw used a Newsom voiceover, showing all the rundown areas of California, with Newsom saying that if you elect Harris, she will do the country what Newsom did to California.

So, Newsom is banning these so-called deep fakes, but the legislation is being challenged on the basis of a violation of our First Amendment rights.

Newsom spokesperson Izzy Gardon stated, “It’s unclear why this conservative activist is suing California.

“This new disclosure law for election misinformation isn’t any more onerous than laws already passed in other states, including Alabama.”

The plaintiff’s attorney responded, “I’m not familiar with the Alabama law. On the other hand, the governor of Alabama had hasn’t threatened our client the way the governor of California did.”

With the political temperature being what it is in this country, if this case falls before a liberal judge, Newsom just might win, but I would expect challenges all the way to the Supreme Court on this one.

I believe the videos and memes will be permitted to continue, but I also believe the courts will eventually require that a disclaimer is posted with them to show people what is AI and what is real.
