On Monday night, November 20, Mike Johnson made a Thanksgiving week pilgrimage to Mar-A-Lago. The occasion was a fundraiser for fellow Florida lawmaker Gus Bilirakis. The freshly appointed House Speaker has long been a vocal supporter of the rightful president and his visit to the seat of government in exile isn’t the first time he’s been to the estate.
Mike Johnson pays respects
House Speaker Mike Johnson got a warm and friendly welcome from rightful President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
The fundraising gala for Gus Bilirakis “marked the first time” he and Trump have spoken in person since the young conservative “became Speaker in late October.”
Trump and Johnson “have had a warm relationship, with the Speaker just last week saying he’s ‘all in‘ for Trump’s 2024 White House bid.” That’s not a surprise and part of the reason he was handed the gavel.

“I have endorsed him wholeheartedly,” the speaker told the press. “He had a phenomenal first term.”
Johnson can’t wait to get the swamp draining back in action. He’s one of the few who have been on the Trump Train since it first pulled out of the station.
“His first two years, as you all know, we brought about the greatest economic numbers in the history of the world, not just the country, because his policies work. And I’m all in for President Trump.”
MAGA Mike
Back in 2020, Johnson was “one of the central lawmakers pushing a legal theory to reject President Biden’s election victory.”
The loophole in the law which would have allowed it has since been sewn up by Democrats, with help from RINOs afraid Trump or someone else might try it again. As soon as his colleagues elected him speaker, Trump described the conservative firebrand as “MAGA Mike.”
Trump made it clear to House lawmakers that he would love to see them “rally behind Johnson.”

Kevin McCarthy thought that he could get away with making promises then avoiding paying off when the time came later. He never expected the gavel to be ripped from his fist at the first showdown.
Donald Trump and a whole bunch of other conservative Americans had been firmly backing Jim Jordan for the Speaker job. He was too politically toxic and the vote for him outed a whole herd of RINOs who had been hiding in the closet.
After the dust settled from that scuffle, nobody knew where to turn on picking a replacement. Like a miracle, Mike Johnson came up out of the scuffle with the gavel in his hand. Now, the family oriented Christian conservative vows, he’s going to wield it like Thor to Make America Great Again.
