Donald Trump’s wallet is getting smacked around quite a bit lately.
He has already lost a $5 million suit to author E. Jean Carroll.
Judge Kaplan just delivered more bad news on this front.
Good to Go
After the first trial was over, Trump slammed Carroll on Truth Social.
Immediately after Trump made the comments, Carroll and legal pundits stated that she may have another case.
So, she filed an additional case, and Kaplan just ruled in her favor.
Trump blasted both Carroll and the judge after the $5 million award was given.
Trump then asked the court to limit the damages.
Kaplan ruled on both this week.
Kaplan not only allowed the second liable case, but he also informed Trump that he would have to pay the full $5 million from the first suit.
That number will grow significantly now that Kaplan has approved the second suit.
Between the civil suits and federal indictments, Trump is getting hit very heavily, and the worst of it is yet to come.
The Letitia James case could cost Trump $250 million, and then there are all the hours that he will be billed from the attorneys for the federal indictments.
Worst yet, it is unlikely that Trump will be able to defeat all four cases, so he could be stuck with legal bills and fees close to $1 billion, and still wind up in jail.
It is a twisted sense or irony that the man that is known for breaking his enemy with endless lawsuits could find himself broke by the time these lawsuits against him are finally done.
