There is reportedly a plea deal in the works that is not sitting well with a lot of people.

The Pentagon has reportedly approved a plea deal for the architects of 9/11.

Several Republicans have already sent a letter in protest.

Additionally, families of victims are bouncing off the walls over the details of the deal.

Unacceptable

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is leading the effort to push back against this deal.

He and Rep. Malliotakis (R-N.Y.) sent a letter to Defense Secretary Austin expressing their displeasure.

The letter stated, “Make no mistake, any outcome short of the death penalty for the September 11th plotters would be completely unacceptable.

“These families have already been robbed of their loved ones, they should not also be robbed of the full measure of justice in this case.

“The September 11th plotters are mass murderers, deserving of the ultimate punishment.

“Indeed, if there are persons walking the face of the Earth who are deserving of the death penalty, it is these five men.”

And here is a reaction from a family member of a victim…

Cruz later added, “Any outcome short of a trial followed by the death penalty would constitute a total failure of leadership by the Department of Defense.”

These people should have already been put to death, so the fact that Austin is now going to take a soft stance against them is, as Cruz stated, unacceptable.
