Recently, former President Donald Trump called upon fellow Republican candidates to join forces and take on Joe Biden and the Democrats in upcoming elections.

He cited polls showing his significant leads in states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina which he predicted would happen. To emphasize this point he declared, “Who expected that? I did.”

Trump boasted of the weaknesses of the Democratic party, claiming it should be easy to beat them due to the current conditions our country is facing.

He proposed a bold strategy for Republicans: “Perhaps the parties should come together. People should drop out of the race. We unify, and we beat Biden and the Democrats”.

This call for unity among GOP contenders indicates a potential to consolidate support behind one candidate in order to challenge Biden’s administration more effectively than if they remain divided.

The former-president also took aim at Ron DeSantis who he believes has been struggling in recent polls by saying “Ron DeSanctimonious is crashing.”

After making this statement Trump concluded his remarks with simply saying “Thank you.”

While this statement may not have been widely welcomed by all Republican candidates, there is an undeniable sense that if Republicans can rally behind one figure then their chances of defeating Biden will increase significantly compared to running many separate campaigns against him.
