It’s no secret that Malik Obama, the half-brother of former President Barack Obama, has had a tumultuous relationship with his famous sibling over the years.
Now, in an unexpected twist, he is publicly questioning his brother’s sexuality on Twitter.

The recent controversy began when Barack tweeted in support for keeping a wide range of books – including those with ‘queer’ content – in libraries.
In response to this statement, Malik commented, “This guy must be gay.”
This isn’t the first time Malik has made such comments; only a few weeks ago he made a similar remark on the platform.
In addition to his public criticism of his brother’s political positions – such as expressing support for Donald Trump during both 2016 and 2020 presidential elections – Malik has also expressed disappointment that Barack did not do more to help their extended family in Kenya during his presidency.
While it is unclear whether they can ever reconcile their differences and settle their disputes peacefully, one thing is certain: these two have had a long history of disagreements that have resulted in public spats on social media.
