It turns out, the latest indictment against Donald Trump could be a godsend.
There is something that Donald Trump has never been able to do since he “lost” the 2020 election.
Since virtually every case he brought was tossed out of court regarding election integrity, the nature of the latest indictment means Trump may just get to have his day in court.
You Screwed Up
By going after Trump and accusing him of making false claims, Smith just kicked open the door that will allow Trump to try to prove his case.
Attorney John Lauro sees this as a silver lining in what is otherwise just a miserable day for Trump.
He stated, “In 2020 Mr. Trump’s campaign had a few weeks to gear up and present evidence, and it was very difficult.
“We now have the ability in this case to issue our own subpoenas, and we will re-litigate every single issue in the 2020 election in the context of this litigation.
“It gives President Trump an opportunity that he has never had before, which is to have subpoena power since January 6 in a way that can be exercised in federal court.”
I have two major issues for the 2020 election.
First and foremost, far too many Democrats overreached by changing election laws without allowing the changes to go through their state legislatures.
Secondly, they continued to claim that there was not enough “widespread” election fraud to flip the election over to Trump.
If we know there is fraud, why not just admit it, root it out, fix the problem, and make sure it never happens again?
The fact that Democrats do not want to do that should scare the living hell out of every American of voting age in this country.
