There have been several sting operations conducted recently that have netted a staggering amount of people involved in human trafficking.

In just one operation, 139 people were arrested.

In a second operation, 339 people have been arrested.

Got Them

Sadly, many of these victims are right before our eyes and nobody even knows it.

Some of these girls are brought over from other countries, then forced to work as escorts to “pay” their debt.

Horrifyingly, this often includes children…

In Operation Online Guardian, over 100 agencies cooperated to form LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Joe McNally, Assistant U.S. Attorney General, stated, “Child exploitation is one of the most horrendous crimes affecting our most vulnerable members of the community.

“Through these crimes, predators target those who can’t protect themselves.”

Officers went undercover online to identify human traffickers.

Then warrants were issued and officers were sent out to make the arrests.

The LAPD stated, “Vulnerable children were rescued from further abuse, and victims who had been silenced by the atrocious crimes of child sexual abuse found their voices restored.”

It concluded, “Although Operation Online Guardian has concluded, the LA ICAC Task Force will remain vigilant and continue their mission to protect our children.

“Despite the numerous resources that assist the LA ICAC Task Force in the battle against the sexual exploitation of children, there are victims who are unnoticed.”
