Another top Democrat has decided to walk away from Congress.
There are two reasons likely why this is happening.
The Democrat is Rep. Grave Napolitano (D-CA).
Corrupt or Just Lucky
Napolitano has been in Congress since 1998.
This was apparently her retirement plan.
Now 86, she entered Congress after having turned 61, when post people are hitting their 401k and IRA accounts.
She was relatively poor when she entered office, but rest assured, that is not the case today.
After a couple of decades in Congress, she now has a nest egg of about $5 million.
So, how do you suppose someone that failed to put away substantial money her entire career suddenly got it all figured out after becoming a member of Congress?
Here is what is even more shocking about her sudden wealth… as of 2018, she was “only” worth about $1 million, but after the pandemic, her net worth roared up to about $5 million.
She happens to be a member of the Natural Resources Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which were allocating billions in COVID money, so is there maybe a chance she “guessed” right on a few stocks?
