The Internal Revenue Service thought it needed a military arsenal and millions of rounds of ammunition to raid a gun store in Montana. Americans as well as members of Congress are wondering why. At least the IRS and the ATF sent almost two dozen heavily armed agents to raid the Highwood Creek Outfitters in Great Falls, Montana just as the owner was pulling up to begin business.
Thousands of IRS agents
Were hired recently. Now we know why. The gun store owner Tom Van Hoose said, “At 7:30, I came in and they pulled in behind me with 20 heavily armed agents. I can only assume that it’s because of the style of weapons that we have and the press that’s so against them.”
Hoose thought it was because of his inventory. He sells a lot of AR-15 and AK-47 semi-automatic rifles. “The current administration seems to be hell bent on getting those guns out of the hands of average Americans,” he added.
We cannot allow Biden to continue expanding these agencies to infringe on our liberties.

The IRS killed sales
Hoose only made $16 that day. Montana Rep. Matt Rosendale was shocked the Biden administration allowed the IRS to be used in this way.
Rosendale put out a statement, “I’m incredibly disturbed by initial reports that the IRS and ATF closed Highwood Creek Outfitters without any warning today. This is yet another example of the Biden Administration weaponizing federal agencies to target and harass hardworking Americans. We cannot allow Biden to continue expanding these agencies to infringe on our liberties.”
Why did the IRS need all that ammunition
Matt Gaetz of Florida wondered about that and it’s not the only raid. Another was done in Georgia that Congress wants answers to. The confiscated records have nothing to do with tax collection, these were all background check forms.
Rosendale fired off a letter to the ATF Director Steven Dettelbach and IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel, “There is no circumstance in which 4473’s [background check documents] would be necessary in an investigation spearheaded by the IRS.” and that they need to cease this action. His letter also read, “Given the positions of the Biden Administration, this raid appears to be an attempt to intimidate firearms dealers and owners,” Rosendale said in the letter, adding, “This pattern [of intimidation and harassment] appears to be orchestrated directly from the White House.” Rosendale posted on Facebook as well, “The weaponization of our government must be STOPPED, which is why I sent a letter to ATF Director Dettelbach and IRS Commissioner Werfel demanding answers about this outrageous attack, and have used every tool available to me to remove funding for the 87,000 additional IRS agents!”
