Donald Trump is not happy.
Ironically, it is largely his own doing.
This week, the Supreme Court ruled on whether or not the Ways and Means Committee could obtain his tax returns from the Treasury.
Trump lost the ruling, then he lost his mind.
Disappointed
Trump, who has appointed a third of the current court, went absolutely nuclear on a panel he helped put on the bench.
The ruling by the court stated, “The application for stay of the mandate presented to The Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court is denied.
“The order heretofore entered by The Chief Justice is vacated.”
Trump responded, “Why would anybody be surprised that the Supreme Court has ruled against me, they always do! It is unprecedented to be handing over Tax Returns, & it creates [a] terrible precedent for future Presidents.
“The Supreme Court has lost its honor, prestige, and standing, & has become nothing more than a political body, with our Country paying the price. They refused to even look at the Election Hoax of 2020. Shame on them!”
Trump added another post later on, stating, “In the Supreme Court, the President of the United States does not have ‘standing’ over his own election, how ridiculous?”
I am not sure if Trump realizes it or not, but when he blasts his own justices, he is actually criticizing his own judgment.
Trump has never been one to take blame for his failures, so, at some point, I would expect him to out the person that recommended these justices to him.
The good news for Trump is that Democrats only have about six weeks to dig into these records before the GOP takes over Congress.
Then, he just better hope the returns do not get leaked to the media, who will then pick up the investigation for Democrats.
