One of the fastest-rising stars in the world of comedy is no longer with us.
David A. Arnold was a name hardly anyone knew a decade ago.
Today, he has some impressive writing credits to his name as well as two very popular Netflix specials.
Sadly, at the age of only 54, he is gone.
Too Soon
Arnold was the showrunner of Nickelodeon’s “That Girl Lay.”
He also produced the “Fuller House” reboot.
Two other shows where he served as writer and producer were “Meet The Browns” and “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.”
What put him on the map, however, was a Netflix special about three years ago called “David A. Arnold: Fat Ballerina.”
It was so popular, in fact, he got another special on Netflix called “It Ain’t For The Weak.”
That had only aired in July and was produced by Kevin Hart, so this was his time.
Arnold had just launched a nationwide tour called “Pace Ya Self.”
He had only performed three dates when he passed.
His family broke the news this week, stating, “It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our husband, father, brother and friend, David A. Arnold.
“David passed away peacefully today in his home and doctors have ruled the cause of death due to natural causes.
“Please keep our family in prayer and respect our privacy at this time, as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.”
