The former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe thinks John Durham’s investigations are going to yield more people going down. As they should. A lot of people are in the cross hairs. Among other things, Hillary Clinton paid a technology company to breach the Trump servers and create the Russia scandal to distract from her email problem. Durham went through the CIA, now he’s focusing on the FBI.

Investigations down the line

It’s not likely that higher ranking officials such as James Comey would be charged. Ratcliffe thinks there will be plenty of people indicted.

Several include Russian analyst Igor Danchenko, Kevin Clinesmith and Michael Sussman have been indicted. Danchenko was the primary researcher for the Steele dossier. Former FBI lawyer Clinesmith altered an email to substantiate a government wiretap of Carter Page who was Trump’s campaign advisor and Michael Sussman lied to federal investigators.

The investigations will force things

Ratcliffe said Comey won’t be charged because he already “walked back” that he said the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act process was not abused. “The intelligence that I’ve seen would reflect that there would be additional actions taken by John Durham,” Ratcliffe said.

Ratcliffe has seen enough to know there’s more coming.

“When I became DNI and saw more intelligence, I became more convinced that there were more incidents like that as it related to the 2016 campaign. I sat in a room last July with John Durham and with [then-]Attorney General [Bill] Barr. We looked at intelligence and we all unanimously agreed that there was a problem there with respect to the FBI. That there wasn’t a proper predicate to begin, much less continue a counterintelligence investigation against the Trump campaign.”

Ratcliffe is helping the investigations

He’s provided almost 1,000 pages of documentation to the Justice Department. Declassified intelligence points to CIA officials that forwarded an investigative referral on Hillary Clinton to distract from her email scandal.

She approved “a plan concerning U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.” This memo was forwarded to the FBI to the attention of both Comey and Peter Strzok who was the Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence.
