A school leader joins the crowd of those saying what they think and losing a job. It doesn’t matter that it was on a personal Facebook page. If you’re going to work in a school, your thoughts need to be aligned with theirs. Period. The other side of the coin cannot be acknowledged and is silenced. Like Nazi Germany, people who don’t believe a certain way can face death or, in this case, the cancel culture.

Another school that might not teach independent thought

Janna Matykiewicz was the assistant principal of the Houston High School. She was reassigned after posting a question and answer on her Facebook page.

“What’s the difference between vaccine papers and a yellow star? 82 years.” At least one student was traumatized to the point of where she was scared to walk back into class.

Took it completely wrong, but then schools have to tow the line of their perception of “safety” above all else. They did “not condone the misappropriation or misuse of the Jewish past for political purposes. The trauma of the Holocaust should not be taken lightly, or diminished in any form or fashion. Any behavior that perpetuates the pain and hurt of one group of people has no place in our schools.”

Matykiewicz was accused of being anti-Semitic and a petition was launched against her for her removal. The petition read, “Not only is this a complete ignorant statement, it is also completely anti-Semitic. Comparing a vaccine to one of the most tragic genocides in history is baffling. As a Jewish student in the student body, I wouldn’t feel safe and accepted as I’m sure many others would with a person of power making anti-Semitic statements on Facebook”

The school missed it

The assistant principal saw the parallels of Nazi Germany being done here. The school offered counseling to any students that felt they needed it. “If our students or staff, specifically our Jewish families, need support, our district is ready to work with individuals or groups. Our District values all input from our students, parents, and families.”

Our churches and businesses were shut down. The unvaccinated were forced to wear a monitoring device. Those not vaccinated cannot attend restaurants or sporting events. They’ve been called murderers. Jobs have been lost, people targeted in stores and there’s even been calls for the unvaccinated to be rounded up and placed into quarantine camps. A sector of mankind has been dehumanized – just like the Nazis did.
