The Democrat strategy might be a standing ovation for every sentence. That way Joe won’t have to talk so long. There will be a standing ovation for just seeing him, provided this is even live. It might be taped. Remember, since laws and rules mean nothing to Democrats unless it’s in their favor, there may not be a SOTU. Biden will be addressing how well he’s dealt with COVID this past year.
Joe will speak Thursday
Jen Psaki announced he’d speak but not what time. Just be happy he’s speaking at all.
A year ago President Trump announced the aggressive steps he was taking to keep COVID down. The World Health Organization called it a global pandemic.
Joe will praise the sacrifices
Jen Psaki said, “President Biden will discuss the many sacrifices that the American people have made over the last year and the grave loss communities and families across the country have suffered. The president will look forward, highlighting the role that Americans will play in beating the virus and moving the country to getting back to normal.”
This is timed for Joe Biden to take a victory lap over that $1.9 trillion “COVID Relief Package” that includes things not at all related to COVID relief. In fact, Schumer has already indicated he’s going to go back for more pork. America is a wealthy nation that those in power can legally raid. The White House is calling this bill, “the most progressive piece of legislation in history”.
There will be elephants in the room
Joe will not talk about. He won’t talk about the staggering amount of executive orders he’s signed. Suddenly there’s a good reason to bomb Syria where before the press was silent. Trump didn’t want (endless) wars.
Joe supposedly wants to eradicate COVID. Letting some sick immigrants in is not eradicating. Those are just more Democrat voters which begs the question. Why the need to bring in more Democrats when you can just change the rules so any conservative votes don’t even count?
It’s all about hurting the Trump voter
The fuel prices at the pump hurt the poor and middle class. You hurt a lot of people by shutting down the Keystone pipeline.
But look at the great job Joe’s done on COVID! Biden proclaimed, “We’re doing pretty good across the country. We’re going to reach 100 million doses pretty soon. But we have to focus more on getting to the neighborhoods that are at-risk neighborhoods.”
Joe is “laser focused” on COVID
Where have we heard that before? There’s more than one reason for Joe to be excited about COVID. Politically, it’s the best thing to have happened for him. Jen Psaki was equally excited, “His focus day in and day out is on getting the pandemic under control and putting people back to work. That’s what people elected him to do.”
But there’s no SOTU on the horizon. Democrats are rewriting the rules. Psaki noted, “We certainly intend on the president delivering a joint session speech, not a State of the Union, in the first year that they are in office. But we don’t have a date for that or a timeline at this point in time.”
