When a police officer assigned to Melania Trump’s security detail put his life on the line, injured in a traffic accident while escorting her, the First Lady wasted no time thanking him for what he did.
Melania Trump reaches out to injured officer
First Lady Melania Trump showed her appreciation for a Huntersville officer who was struck by a vehicle while escorting her motorcade to an event. As related by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the patrolman was aboard a motorcycle as part of the convoy when the crash happened along Woodlawn Avenue near South Tryon Street around 3:30 Monday Afternoon.
The injured officer was to a local hospital “for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.” According to the local police, “Throughout this incident, there was no threat to the First Lady or any other personnel in the motorcade.” It appears to have been your typical careless motorist at fault. Within hours, Melania was tweeting out her best wishes. That’s a far cry from the previous administration where Barack Obama barely acknowledged their existence and couldn’t be bothered to even return salutes.
First Lady Melania Trump tapped out that “I spoke [with] the injured HPDNC officer this evening & was glad to hear he is doing well.” She added, “Thank you, as always, to all of the law enforcement officials who work to protect us every day!” No matter what the Democrats in Washington think about the police, the Trump family stands with the men and women who proudly wear the blue uniform.

Another four years
Both Donald and Melania Trump have had a busy week getting the last minute campaign messages out to undecided voters. Now we’re down to the wire and everyone is anxiously awaiting confirmation that the Trumps will be running the White House for another four strong years.
Melania was traveling separately to the rally in North Carolina, joining the President for another one of his “rock-star” style rallies with thousands of screaming fans. Biden decided to limit his crowds because his fans are all busy burning down liberal cities. North Carolina will be one of the fiercely disputed battleground states this year. Pundits at CNN have been calling it “the center of the political universe.”
CNN is reporting that “the state’s 15 electoral votes are crucial” for Donald and Melania Trump to remain in office because, the Washington Post chimes in, if he doesn’t make that score, “his path to victor would become significantly more difficult.” Everyone is expecting the Democrats to take the big blue states like New York and California. Trump will probably secure Texas and it’s treasure trove of electors. It all boils down to a race for 270 votes in the electoral college, as usual. What’s different this time is that neither of the contenders are expected to reach the magic number before everyone calls it a night and goes to bed. The thing that really makes voters nervous is that we’re being told we might not have a clear answer for months.
