The state Supreme Court of Minnesota has just handed Donald Trump a big win.

There was yet another case before the court to have Trump removed from the ballot.

And, yet again, the court has ruled against the motion to have Trump disqualified from the state ballot via the 14th Amendment.

Sorry, But No

In most of these cases, we seen the cases tossed because Trump has not been charged or convicted of insurrection.

In this case, however, the court chose a different approach.

The court stated, “There is no state statute that prohibits a major political party from placing on the presidential nomination primary ballot, or sending delegates to the national convention supporting, a candidate who is ineligible to hold office.”

While this is a victory for Trump in this case, it will, however, open the door for more legal challenges in the future.

We were hoping to have this issue settled, but the wording of the judgment means that if Trump wins, he could be challenged after the fact on the same basis.

I don’t think we will truly get any relief on this until a case makes it to the Supreme Court, where I have to believe Trump will defeat this measure once and for all.

When it does get to that level, I don’t see how the court could possibly allow the suit due to the fact Trump has not bee charged or convicted of insurrection.

Nor has he been charged or convicted of giving aid to insurrectionists.

This is not more than a waste of time and money, but it keeps the idea of Trump being responsible for January 6, which is the ultimate endgame of Democrats here.
