Tech entrepreneur Blake Masters is reportedly looking to run for Senate in the state of Arizona, going against independent Senator Krysten Sinema.
Masters previously lost his bid to unseat Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) back in 2022.

Kari Lake—who was narrowly defeated by Katie Hobbs in the state’s gubernatorial election this past fall—has also been mentioned as a potential candidate.
However, some Arizona Republicans are concerned that having both candidates enter the race would be too much of a risk.
Barrett Marson, an Arizona-based Republican strategist, has weighed in on Masters’ decision to run again.
According to Politico, Marson said he had a recent conversation with Masters and described him as “pretty decisively in.”
He went on to say that if both Lake and Masters enter the same race “he is wasting his time,” due to their similar names and Lake’s higher name recognition among Republicans.
In Master’s previous campaign against Mark Kelly for Senate seat, there were clashes between him and Republican Senate Leadership–specifically Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
As such, The McConnell-controlled Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) super PAC decided to cancel $10 million in ads of support of Masters despite the competitiveness of the race.
The SLF president Steven Law said at the time they were leaving “the door wide open” but wanted to move resources elsewhere because other opportunities had become increasingly competitive and there was an unexpected expense in Ohio.
With Masters planning to enter the race, it looks like this will be a tough battle for the GOP nomination.
