GOP Georgia State Senator Colton Moore, like many other politicians and conservatives, has been left outraged by the “prosecution and persecution” of Donald Trump and his 18 other co-defendants.
In his attempt to fight back, he has called for an urgent special session of the state of legislature to withhold state funding from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office.
Moore has argued that although Willis only represents one of the 159 counties in Georgia, taxpayers from all over the state help support her office.
However, out of his 32 Republican Senate colleagues, only one has expressed support for calling a special session.
Moore was disappointed by this response, saying it’s difficult to “soar like an eagle” when dealing with a bunch of “buzzards.”
Moore had sent a letter to Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp outlining his initiative to begin an emergency session investigating the actions taken by Willis after she indicted Trump in Fulton County.
The letter read as follows:
Dear Governor Kemp:
We, the undersigned, being duly elected members of the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate, and comprising 3/5 of each respective house, pursuant to Article IV, Section II, Paragraph VII(b), hereby certify to you, in writing, with a copy to the Secretary of State, that in our opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state, requiring a special session to be convened under that section, for all purposes, to include, without limitation, the review and response to the actions of Fani Willis.

His plan could potentially lead to defunding Willis’ investigation or even impeaching her if necessary.
Moore criticized fellow Republicans who refused to embrace his motion – particularly Kemp – stating they would rather trust unelected bureaucrats than elected representatives of people in Georgia.
Cliff Maloney, who oversees America First Georgia campaigns, told Breitbart News that Moore’s effort was the only one being made in the state attempting to prevent Trump’s prosecution.
He praised Moore as an “absolute patriot,” encouraging Americans who love liberty to back him up on this battle.
