David Yellen, a resident of Royal Oak, Michigan who is openly vocal about his disdain for President Trump and conservative principles was recently arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography.
This case has been met with shock from the public as it brings to light the vile actions of this man who had spent over 10 years photographing girls’ gymnastics in the metro Detroit area.
Yellen is known to post nude pictures of young girls online and also posted an image on twitter with a caption reading “This is what grooming looks like.”
He also took shots at conservatives by mocking them for trying to outlaw drag queen performances and interactions with young children in general.
The Republican Speaker of the House in Kansas, David Hawkins passed a bill that would prevent young girls from having to compete in sports against biological males which prompted Yellen to respond “He looks like just the kind of guy that wants to inspect kids’ genitals!”
The FBI recently conducted a search into Yellens home where they identified at least 1,500 files containing images or sexual exploitation involving minors on his hard drive as well as 200 images taken from events he was photographing showing bare feet of children attending these events.
Yellen admitted during questioning that he had downloaded child pornography 10 years ago. The fact that someone so outspoken against any form or right wing views could be found guilty of such disgusting crimes has left many people feeling betrayed by their own political beliefs.
This case has caused huge waves throughout the Metro Detroit region leaving many people feeling scared and vulnerable knowing that someone associated with gymnastic clubs could have potentially been taking advantage of their trust all along.
It also raises questions about why someone so vocal about their hatred towards conservatism could be engaging in such terrible behavior behind closed doors while speaking out publicly against those same values?
It seems almost too ironic that David Yellen, an avid anti-Trump democrat was found guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography when ironically it is usually conservatives accused by Democrats for similar offenses.
It just goes to show you can never really know what is going on inside someone’s head no matter how much they outwardly express an opinion contrary to yours politically.
Hopefully justice will be served accordingly but until then all we can do is wait for answers while being mindful not to let our personal biases cloud our judgement when reviewing cases such as these.
