Cody Hiland has had an impressive legal career leading up to his appointment.
His decades-long experience in prosecuting cases brought him to his current position as U.S. attorney where he was highly sought after by many states for his expertise in law enforcement and criminal justice systems.
With this well-rounded background, he is sure to bring honor and justice to his new role on the Supreme Court.
Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton voiced strong support for Governor Sanders’ decision, saying “Cody Hiland is a good friend who is fair, impartial, and will apply the law without favor…a great day for Arkansas.”
He was seconded by Attorney General Tim Griffin who said “Congratulations to Associate Justice Cody Hiland…he is an outstanding appointment.”
