Donald Trump just took one on the chin, and it is going to sting.
Special Counsel Jack Smith has been trying to get at Trump’s attorneys to see if Trump discussed hiding the documents with his attorneys.
To this point, attorney Evan Corcoran has refused to answer any questions.
That may change very soon.
Talk!
US District Court Judge Beryl Howell issued the lower court decision that mandated Corcoran break attorney-client privilege.
The Trump team appealed, but that appeal failed on the 3rd Circuit.
This means Corcoran will now be required to testify if Trump does not appeal this decision to try to take the case to the Supreme Court.
If they find that Trump purposely misled his attorneys, who later told authorities that all classified documents were gone, Trump could be looking at even more legal problems.
On the bright side, the case in Manhattan that DA Alvin Bragg is trying to put together is slowly but surely falling apart.
Grand jury testimony was reportedly canceled on Wednesday.
There are also rumors of dissent in his office as well as reports that the grand jury may not return the indictment for Bragg.
