With all the talk of spy balloons and accusations that this has been going on for years, Trump officials have pushed back.
John Bolton, who served as Trump’s National Security Advisor for a brief spell, was among those denying this was taking place.
The Biden administration has now agreed to let Mr. Bolton come in for a briefing on the matter.
Can We Believe It?
The choice of Bolton is an odd one in that Bolton cannot stand Trump right now.
They could have asked Pompeo, Meadows, or even Trump himself to come in, but they picked someone that will immediately cause doubt if he backs up the White House’s story.
The only thing that truly gives me hope we will get some truth here is that Bolton’s reputation is on the line just as much as everyone else’s here.
That may truly be the only thing he cares about, as he has always presented himself as someone that believes he is far better than everyone else.
For now, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see what he has to say.
As much as I despise the man, I do not see him sticking up for Joe Biden on this one.
