One of the more promising voices to come from American Idol has been extinguished.
Honestly, Willie Spence did not need AI to become a superstar.
He blew everyone away during his audition and made it to the finals in Season 19.
Sadly, just as his career was about to take off, his light has been extinguished.
Horrific Accident
Spence, who was only 23 years old, crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer in Tennessee.
The truck was parked on the shoulder of the road when Spence hit the truck.
We will never know why he left the road and was on the shoulder.
Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Lt. Bobby Clevenger stated, “He hit the back of the tractor-trailer.
“The medical examiner was called from the scene… it was DOA at the scene.”
Spence was amazing during his audition, as the judges took all of two seconds to pass him through…
For his fans, he did leave one last song up on his Instagram account, recorded only a few hours before the accident.
The shame of it all is that he has a big concert scheduled in London for next month.
Rest in peace, Willie… your fans will miss you.
