Technology is a funny thing. You can have something that might be ready for use, but not necessarily practical for the intended eventual use.
I mean, look at television for example. They halfway figured that out in the late 1920s and it wasn’t until a couple of years after the end of World War Two that here in the United States we had regular widespread TV service.
Same thing with anything solar or electric. These solar-powered and electric devices are a great idea, and may actually be applicable one day in the future, but they’re not there now.
Give you an example. For Christmas, I got one of those electric bikes that you can pedal as well as use as sort of a motorcycle using an all-electric engine. You can even use them for pedal assist on the tougher hills.
Whenever I have to go somewhere that’s within a couple of miles of my house I will often use this bike. It’s a great way to get exercise.
That being said, would I make a 250-mile trip with this thing? No, because you have to charge the thing at home and the max you can go on a full charge all electric is about forty miles.
Same thing with my emergency generator. I keep it charged and have portable panels at the ready in case of hurricanes but I haven’t switched the electricity off and began using it entirely. Why, because the technology is there.
I know that the cake is not quite ready yet, so I am letting it stay in the oven until it’s ready.
Liberals, on the other hand, want to take the cake out when they want and will try to cook it with a cigarette lighter one bite at a time when they realize it’s not done yet.
Take for example a company in Sweden that runs a bussing service that operates supposedly on a fleet of nothing but electric vehicles. Now that’s all well and good as long as you’re using solar panels and the like to power them.
Well, as it turns out they have been cheating a little bit and trying to do it without admitting that they were wrong. You see, Sweden gets cold. This causes electric vehicles to freeze up. It takes longer for them to charge in cold weather.
They didn’t have the right electrical equipment to do the job. So they were forced to wave a white flag. They brought in a fleet of diesel generators to get the buses going again.
Hmm, let’s see. Using diesel generators to charge electric buses. Sounds to me like some people took the cake out before it was ready.
