We could be in for an old-fashioned family feud in the Trump fraud case.
Reports surfaced this year that Ivanka Trump has been added to the witness list for prosecutors.
It is hard to imagine her being called without it benefiting the prosecution or simply take the 5th.
Daddy Issues
Ivanka has been completely removed from the spotlight since Trump left office.
She has also been adamant that she will only support her father from afar, choosing to remove herself from politics altogether.
However, her name showed up on a list submitted by the prosecution.
Her name also popped up in another story about the “evidence” against Trump, which is what I think this is all about.
Trump valued the penthouse that he sold to Ivanka at more than $20 million.
The property was sold for less than $9 million to Ivanka.
Here is the problem, however.
Just because Trump sold the property for what would have been far below the valuation he put on the property does not constitute fraud.
Trump could have sold it to her for $1 if he chose. This was a private sale, so this was likely just a discounted price for his daughter.
So far, I have yet to see any evidence that would bury Trump in this case.
While I think it will be difficult for Trump to win his case in court, this should be an easy win on appeal.
