Do you remember that big raid the FBI conducted in March 2021?

This was when they raided a private safety deposit box company.

In the raid, they confiscated more than $86 million, but now some of that is missing.

Where Is My Stuff

Two people who had the contents of their boxes confiscated are suing the FBI.

When U.S. Private Vaults was raided, Don Mellein and Jeni Pearsons were among those who had their assets seized.

Well, it turns out, the FBI had no right to take their assets, and they have sued to get them back.

The problem is that the FBI does not have everything that was in the box.

And since the raid was not documented on video, there is no proof that the items they are missing are, in fact, missing.

Pearsons had coins and $2,000 in cash.

She got her coins, but the cash was gone.

Mellein had hundreds of thousands of dollars in rare coins, and the FBI has failed to return them all to him, now costing him $40,000 in legal fees to get them back.

Joe Gay, an attorney with the nonprofit law firm Institute for Justice, stated, “All we know is that their property was in a box and safe before the FBI broke into the box.

“Once the FBI broke into the box, we honestly don’t know exactly what happened.

“We don’t know if they lost it.

“We don’t know if somebody pocketed it and walked away.

“We have no way to know.”

So, once again, the FBI gets another black eye.
