Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert’s recent controversial incident has thrust her into the headlines for a few days now. And after camera footage captured her behavior at the “Beetlejuice” performance, the politician has remained pretty quiet. Now, Boebert has made an appearance and broken her silence on what exactly happened.
During a brief interview with TMZ, Boebert commented on how her week had been challenging and alluded to the incident by saying “all future date nights have been canceled” and that she learned to check party affiliations before going on a date.
This comment led some to speculate whether the date was a setup of some sort.
She also encouraged people to go see the musical which was interrupted by her behavior at Denver’s Buell Theatre during a performance of “Beetlejuice”, which included vaping during the performance and led to her removal from the venue.
Known for being outspoken about conservative views, Representative Boebert has become a polarizing figure in Congress since taking office.
In response to public reaction regarding constituents, Boebert noted that many are understanding as it was part of her personal life and private time.
While she acknowledged the controversy and expressed desire to move forward, many questions remain unanswered due to her lack of detail surrounding this incident as well as several other controversies that have surrounded her since she took office.
This incident has caused disruption both inside Congress as well as outside with constituents who view Lauren Boebert differently now because of it.
It is yet unclear what impact this will have on Representative Boebert’s career or how long it will take for things to go back to normal after such negative news coverage surrounding this event.
Ultimately time will tell if voters can forgive or forget but until then she remains under scrutiny for this controversial incident.
Many online users took to Twitter to react to the TMZ interview:
I think its safe to assume at this point in history that no matter what we are doing, we are always being recorded.
People would be wise to behave in accordance with that fact.

I wish more people could admit when they are wrong or should know better

Yeah I mean it would be nice if she could enjoy private parts of her life in private, but it's not a reality when you're in the public arena, so she should know better not to do that in public…
