Donald Trump has a very large problem on his hands.
He is already facing down numerous lawsuits, as we all know.
That total may significantly increase in the coming days, and they could be very expensive.
Merrick Garland’s DOJ has just ruled that Capitol Police can sue Donald Trump for the events that took place on January 6.
Big Problems
Donald Trump’s campaign is already having financial problems.
The former president has also suffered some pretty heavy losses in recent years, more so during the time he was in office.
Trump is not exactly hurting by everyday standards, but he has probably lost somewhere between 30 to 40 percent of his worth since 2016.
Point being, a few big lawsuits, and the family fortune could be in jeopardy.
In yet another move to remove Trump from the picture, the DOJ announced that it will allow lawsuits against Trump to proceed from the events that took place on January 6.
The DOJ stated, “Presidents may at times use strong rhetoric.
“And some who hear that rhetoric may overreact, or even respond with violence.
“Just as denying First Amendment protection to incitement does not unduly chill speech in general, denying absolute immunity to incitement of imminent private violence should not unduly chill the President in the performance of his traditional function of speaking to the public on matters of public concern.”
Honestly, these cases being brought about by the police are all going to depend on the judge that draws the case.
If Trump gets a liberal judge, then the trial is held in DC, he is going to get buried.
He will go through the appeal process to hold things up, but this could be something that truly ends the Trump legacy as we know it.
