Country star Zach Bryan was arrested last week.
It seems he got a bit impatient with officers who were conducting a traffic stop on a member of his travel team.
Bryan ended up in jail, but what he did next is getting all the attention.
Lost His Mind
A member of Bryan’s staff was pulled over for speeding.
The stop was taking too long for Bryan’s liking, so he decided to get out of his car and give the officers an earful.
For his trouble, he was arrested and charged with obstruction of an investigation.
As one would expect, word traveled rather quickly, so Bryan apologized on social media to try to control the damage.
He stated, “And like a dumbass, I was like, ‘Take me to f–king jail? What do you mean?’
“So I get too lippy with him, he brings me over to his car, and I just didn’t help my situation at all.
“I felt like a child, it was ridiculous and immature.
“I just pray everyone knows I don’t think I’m above the law.
“I was just being disrespectful and I shouldn’t have been. It was my mistake.”
Fans went off on Bryan, but there were some positive comments as well.
The police also accepted his apology.
Retired Sgt. Betsy Branter Smith, a spokesperson for the National Police Association, “This is a very frustrated young man and he had some inappropriate things to say, but he complied with the officers.
“He didn’t try to fight them or attack them. He mouthed off. And he apologized.”
Next time, just shut up and take your ticket.
