I think we can all agree that the next time Donald Trump and Mike Pence see each other, it will not be a warm reception.
Trump has already stated that he will not be doing the debate later this week.
Mike Pence was hoping that would not be the case.

Pence was actually looking forward to facing Trump to debate him.
I would imagine he would love to get Trump’s narrative on what took place on January 6 straightened out.
Pence has also been very critical of Trump, and I would expect that to continue during the debate regardless of whether Trump is there or not.
Pence stated, “I served alongside the president for a long time and one thing I realized about him is it’s not until it’s over.
“So I’m actually still hoping he shows up, you know, to get on that plane and Trump Force One and head up and out on that stage.”
My guess is that every candidate that is going to attack Trump will call him a coward for not showing up, as we have already seen the buzz on social media.
Trump will have ample opportunity to explain his absence, as he has agreed to an interview with Tucker Carlson while the debate is going on.
