Only one President, current or former, has paid a visit to the community affected by the toxic chemical train derailment in Ohio. It wasn’t Biden. President Trump is on the trail to get his job back so he stopped in to bring clean water and supplies to East Palestine. Biden is too busy visiting overseas and giving our money to the Ukraine. Trump was with GOP Senator J.D. Vance and mayor Trent Conaway.
Trump said three words
“Get over here”. Biden needs to pay attention to the people in the United States. The former President was given a warm welcome.
Former White House aide Dan Scavino posted a clip in which a voice was heard to say to Trump, ““Thank you for not forgetting about us.” In another clip people were chanting, “Trump! Trump! Trump!”
The difference between the two
Reporters noted that he said, “FEMA would have been here a long time ago”. FEMA was only sent out two weeks after the disaster struck.
The Biden administration’s story was that FEMA wasn’t the appropriate agency since nothing residential had been damaged. An official said, “FEMA is on the frontlines when there is a hurricane or tornado. This situation is different.”
Different agencies
The administration thought the CDC and EPA were more appropriate. Trump said to Biden that he needed to leave some money in his pocket, not give it all overseas. “I sincerely hope that when your representatives and all of the politicians get here, including Biden, they get back from touring Ukraine, that he’s got some money left over.”
Biden could be stiffed out of votes in the area since he stiffed them with a visit when he was needed. Ohio has 17 electoral votes with the East Palestine community bordering Pennsylvania that has 19 electoral votes.
