A Cop Saw What Was Written on His Sandwich Wrapper and the Next Day Five People Were FIRED….

After attempting to make a joke at an officer’s expense, this group of fast food employees learned their lesson the hard way.

Apparently the fast food chain Burger King does not mess around when it comes to food tampering, as it fired five of it’s workers for drawing a pig on the order of a local cop.

Officer Timo Rosenthal stopped by the fast food chain for lunch one day, and after driving off with his order, he noticed something seemed a bit off.

Upon grabbing his food out of the bag, he saw that someone had drawn a pig with large eyes and a police badge on the bag.

Meanwhile the burger inside the wrapper was burned.

After the officer posted the image of his Burger King order online, the fast food chain was quick to repair its public image.

According to local news station KRQE, Rosenthal was in uniform that day when he ordered his meal.

Burger King offered a statement related to the incident:

“What occurred is unacceptable and not in line with our brand values. When made aware of the incident, the restaurant owner immediately reached out—apologizing to the officer and firing the team members involved.”

“The restaurant is offering free meals to uniformed officers and will provide a catered lunch to the police department as a gesture of goodwill.”

Burger King’s VP also shared a statement which revealed that the franchise does not support the poor treatment of anyone, especially that of law enforcement.

Clovis Police Department chief shared his disappointment that any of his officers would be treated in a disrespectful way.

“This is totally wrong and it’s not the way New Mexico should ever be,” a New Mexico man said.
