Typically every bride wants to ensure their wedding day is as memorable as possible, of course in a positive sense.
And that usually happens by picking a perfect wedding dress for the event and making sure the groom has the customary black bow tie, tuxedo, and white tux shirt.
I’m sure many would agree that a lot of planning and effort goes into getting ready for the big day, however not all couples fall in line with stereotypical dress code expectations we may be accustomed to.
In fact, this one couple has gone viral online as the groom is being bashed for wearing a pair of dirty, grass-stained jeans to his wedding, as the users captioned “Not exactly a shotgun wedding but…”
The photos initially prompted a wave of confusion when user mconfused23 posted them on Reddit in 2017.
The bride can be see placing a ring on her soon-to-be husband wearing a beautiful grown meanwhile his outfit is incredibly casual and dressed down.
Many users expressed criticism over the groom’s outfit, which consisted of a baggy flannel over a red t-shirt, jeans, and a baseball cap.
To make matters worse, the groom was also carrying around a fishing rod during the ceremony.
“He looks like he was just walking by and got grabbed to get married,” one user wrote.
“If your own wedding is not a reason to get dressed up then what is” agreed on another.
“This is such a pretty dress too. What a shame,” said one commenter, feeling sorry for the bride.
