Oklahoma Pot Farm Murder Suspect Runs Loose

Four people were found dead at a rural Oklahoma pot farm. A fifth victim was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. Police are still searching for the killer but don’t believe the general public is in any danger. They are pretty sure they know who did it but haven’t caught up to them yet.

Four dead at Marijuana farm

The victims of a pot farm massacre all knew each other and their assailant well. They were jointly running a 10-acre cultivation site west of Hennessey. Authorities announced on Monday, November 21 that they have “a suspect in mind.

Without giving any details, Captain Stan Florence of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation provided an update on their gruesome discovery. The initial call came in as “a reported hostage situation.

They all know each other,” Captain Florence confirmed. Investigators “don’t know if they’re related, or if they’re coworkers, but certainly these individuals were, we believe, all familiar with each other.” The farm was an obvious common factor linking them all.

None of the names have been released and police won’t say how they were killed. They do note that the victims “were men and women.” Officials with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority verified that “the owners of the property are international” but that’s all they’re saying.

The bodies were found Sunday night by responding Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The farm lies roughly 55 miles northwest of Oklahoma City.

As soon as they got the call reporting a hostage situation they instantly yelled for help from state authorities.

Suspect at large

As Captain Florence related at a Monday press conference from the Property, “at this point, we have a suspect in mind. We have no information specific to be able to share … at this point,” he emphasized by repeating.

They’re pretty certain that the suspect isn’t on the property anywhere, “after an extensive ground and air search.” They combed the farm night and day with drones and helicopters “but did not find the suspect.

The pot farm murders give their detectives “a lot to unravel.” That means “It’ll take a little time for us to process it.” Oklahoma has had legal medical marijuana since 2018.

Their version of the law is considered “an open-ended law that put in place fewer restrictions than in other states.” This coming March the voters will get a chance to approve recreational use as well, which is already a growing trend in neighboring states.

One last minute update reports that the victims were “shot.” That fits the previously released information. The update also notes the 911 call came in from the farm “at around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

It notes “responding officers found four people dead from apparent gunshot wounds and one injured.” Kingfisher County Sheriff Dennis Banther explained “the deadly shooting stemmed from an internal dispute and was not a random act of violence.
