The second of two fresh busloads of invaders arrived in Philadelphia on Monday morning. This one carried 46 asylees and dropped them off at 30th Street Station. Despite complaints that nobody coordinated the drop-off, city leaders and local organizations were on hand to welcome them.

Philadelphia provides sanctuary

As soon as Kevin Aborlada stepped off the bus in Philadelphia on November 21, he was provided “a joyful welcome, a warm jacket and a cozy blanket.” It’s taken him two months to get there while he walked up from Ecuador. The description of his journey underscores the perils.

His group’s trudge through the jungles was grueling. Along with his wife and 3-year-old toddler, they “saw a lot of people dying and saw others who had to stop along the way.” It was nice to be sipping coffee in a warm jacket.

Aborlada and his entourage are used to a much more equatorial climate than Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He doesn’t mind the cold because he’s in America. Their treatment, he relates, got a whole lot better once they crossed the U.S. border. Daughter Sophia agrees, saying she’s “very happy to be here.” She “feels good, but cold.

Local outlets are proud to report that “non-profit organizations like Casa De Venezuela and Juntos helped organize resources.

They’re all set to provide “for about 30 families who plan to seek temporary shelter in North Philadelphia.” Fernando Torres with Casa de Venezuela observes, “so far it’s been very smooth. People are thankful. Get a little coffee a snack and go to the shelter.

The facility is all set for them, unlike the sanctuary chaos in New York City and Washington, D.C. Don’t even mention Martha’s Vineyard. That group got hustled off the island under armed guard.

A bigger group this time

According to Erika Guadalupe Nunez, executive director of Juntos, “we did have a bigger group this time but because of the momentum that we built,  I’m confident we’ll be able to meet everyone’s needs: medical care, housing, transportation even finding local employment.

Hmm, isn’t that one of the big problems all the other sanctuary places are screaming about? They say our new arrivals aren’t documented for work, so all need welfare. New York City would love to know what loophole Philadelphia found to solve that crisis.

According to a local news outlet, “30 people boarded another bus to a welcoming facility on E. Luzerne Street in North Philadelphia and about 12 others stayed at 30th Street Station to be picked up by family and head to their final destination.” All the city officials are griping that “Texas officials have not coordinated with them.

Philadelphia

That isn’t nice, they say, because they made “a direct request from Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management to do so.” Texas basically told them, by not answering, that when the invaders start coordinating their entry, they will start coordinating the bus rides.

Invaders have been jumping the border by the millions and getting shipped to sanctuary by the thousands. Even though the liberals only have to deal with a tiny fraction of the problem, which they caused, they instantly become overwhelmed by it.

Last Wednesday, Philadelphia was surprised to get “a bus carrying 28 asylum seekers” up from Del Rio. They instantly complained that the only notice they got was when Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the sanctuary City of Brotherly Love was being added to the destination list. They should be happy they got that much notice.
