Riley Gaines was forced to barricade herself in her room when she was assaulted by violent trans-activists at San Francisco State University. The women’s rights activist and NCAA Champion was speaking at an event called “Saving Women’s Sports” hosted by Turning Point USA. It had just ended when a number of students rushed the room Gaines was in and started screaming at her about trans rights.
Gaines had to flee
The unhinged mob flooded the classroom so volunteers and officers hurried her out a separate exit. As she ran down the hall she was hit twice by a man wearing a dress. The activists were just incoherently screaming, showing a complete lack of sanity.
Gaines tweeted out after the event, “I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man. This is proof that women need sex-protected spaces. Still only further assures me that I’m doing something right. When they want you silent, speak louder.”
The prisoners are running the asylum at SFSU…I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man. This is proof that women need sex-protected spaces.

Officers outnumbered
Police protected her as best they could, standing by the door. Video shows the activists screaming at her and demanding payment so she could safely exit. Conservative commentators on Twitter called it a hostage situation.
Matt Walsh is a vocal critic of the movement. He explained, “There is nothing ambiguous about this. Harassment, intimidation, kidnapping.” Walsh encouraged Gaines to press charges against anybody who wouldn’t allow her to safely exit the area.
This is kidnapping. @Riley_Gaines_ should pursue felony charges against every single person in that hallway. They all should be expelled and thrown in prison. There is nothing ambiguous about this. Harassment, intimidation, kidnapping. Go after them, Riley. Make them pay. https://t.co/NJyFQ9gwYq

SFSU police statement
“We are conducting an ongoing investigation into the situation. There were no arrests related to the event. The disruption occurred after the conclusion of the event which made it necessary for UPD officers to move the event speaker from the room to a different, safe location.”
A sit-in protest against Gaines was organized by the Queer and Trans Resource Center on campus but it wasn’t clear if this group organized the violence. Turning Point USA also put out a statement:
“In just one week, violent radicals on THREE of America’s university campuses have attacked TPUSA events and speakers from coast to coast. Last night at SFSU, TPUSA hosted a Saving Women’s Sports event with star swimmer [Riley Gaines] when radical Trans activists physically assaulted her and then barricaded her in a safe room for hours. On Tuesday night, another TPUSA event at the University of Albany featuring pro-life speaker [Ian Haworth] was interrupted by Anti-Christian, far-left students who proceeded to destroy a Bible. And last Thursday, far-left students hijacking a pro-life event at Virginia Commonwealth University featuring TPUSA speaker [Isabel Brown] and Students for Life’s [Kristan Hawkins], as protesters threw punches and injured a chapter president.”
