Eventually, Joe Biden will have to face facts about his son. Ordinarily the train wreck that is Hunter wouldn’t be a problem but this is the President’s son that has access to power and influence. We all know dad is familiar with the son’s business dealings regardless that Joe has said otherwise. If Republicans take control of the House though, the investigations will start and will include the President.
Biden doesn’t think so
He wished the Republicans luck, they’re going to need it. CBS News’ Wendy Cortez noted that Republicans
“want to launch rapid investigations on day one into your handling of Afghanistan, the border; they want to look into some of your cabinet officials, they want to investigate you, they may even want to investigate your son. What’s your message to Republicans who are considering investigating your family and particularly your son Hunter’s business dealings?”
Biden mocked them, “Lots of luck in your senior year, as my coach used to say. Look, I think the American public want us to move on and get things done for them. And I heard … that Republicans were saying that the former president said ‘How many times are you gonna impeach Biden?’ I think the American people will look at all of that for what it is, it’s just almost comedy.”

Impeaching Trump was comedy
Biden just admitted to that. It was all a farce. Nobody will be impeaching the President’s son though. Nepotism isn’t illegal. What’s likely to be looked at instead is the finances.
James Comer is likely to become chair of the House Oversight and Reform Committee. He said,
“We’re prepared to subpoena Hunter Biden. We would certainly hope that he would want to come before the committee and clear his name. What Joe Biden said is, ‘Our son is innocent.’ If I were Hunter Biden, I’d want to come clear my name and make some Republicans look bad. So we’re gonna ask Hunter Biden to come before the committee. If he refuses, then I suspect that he would receive a subpoena.”
Hunter’s deals in China and Ukraine
Comer continued about Hunter compromising the White House, “Therefore, it’s a national security concern. And we take that very seriously, and we’re going to press forward with a credible, formal investigation of the president of the United States.”
Past Democrats though have encouraged Hunter to look for meaningful work. Liberal Matthew Yglesias wrote in 2020, “Hunter’s career … never really seems to have quite launched as an independent entity.” The younger son was “stumbling through life and often trading on his dad’s name and position for financial gain.”
