Joe Biden may have just lost his team’s most important staffer.
No, it was not Kamala, not Dr. Fauci, and not Ron Klain.
It was the man that hands Joe notes telling him he has food on his face and he needs to clean it off.
The Bodyman is Gone
For someone like Joe Biden, his bodyman is arguably his most important staffer.
Stephen Goepfert is that man.
His job is to get Joe’s podium and notes ready, guide Joe around, keep him on point, and hand him notes for talking points and such.
In this administration, that is arguably the toughest job there is.
Remember that note about Joe wiping food off his face during a TV appearance, well, that was Goepfert.
I cannot say the man has been flawless, but let’s face it, he is in a losing situation signing up to be Joe’s guy.
Joe will miss his caretaker, stating, “From the campaign to the White House, Stephen Goepfert has been by my side.
“In moments big, small, and extraordinary, he’s been a trusted and loyal confidant who everyone counts on and who always delivers.”
Goepfert is moving on to bigger and better things… now he will work with little Petey in the Transportation Department.
His role, however, has not been publicized as of yet.
As for Joe’s new handler, that will be Jacob Spreyer, who will transition from his current position as White House receptionist.
Jacob, we genuinely wish you good luck in your new position because you are going to need it, young man.
