President Donald Trump  knocked conservatives who do not line up with the MAGA movement on June 26th, including a former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan and The Dispatch cofounder Jonah Goldberg, as “shortsighted ‘losers‘” who “have no idea what the MAGA movement is.”

Publishing on his social networking platform Truth Social, Trump initially took aim at Noonan, a Wall Street Journal writer and previous speechwriter for President Ronald Reagan.

“I listen to all of these foolish (stupid!) people, often living in a bygone era, like the weak and frail RINO, Peggy Noonan, who did much less for Ronald Reagan than she claims, and who actually said bad things about him and his ability to speak,” Trump wrote, calling her a Republican in name only.

Noonan, a regular critic of the previous president, composed a WSJ viewpoint short article on Friday, titled “Trump and Biden Both Face Rejections,” in which she claimed, “Both parties are rejecting their leaders.”

Her column the week prior was entitled “Trump Voters Need a New Direction,” with the subheader “He might have been the only Republican who could beat Hillary in 2016. But he’s a sure loser in 2024.”

Trump then turned to criticize Rich Lowry, the previous editor-in-chief of the conservative National Review publication. Lowry “has destroyed the once wonderful and influential National Review, the pride and joy of the legendary William F. Buckley,” the former president said.

Lowry on Thursday wrote an op-ed for Politico and prompting the Justice Department not to arraign Trump for Jan. 6. “In the communications battle over January 6 and the 2020 election, Trump has been steadily losing ground,” he argued, “but an indictment would allow him to shift from obsessing over an imagined injustice against him in the past to combating an arguably real injustice against him in the present.”

Trump likewise ripped George Will, stating the conservative Washington Post analyst’s “mind is decaying with hatred and envy before our very eyes.”

The previous president likewise called out Goldberg and his fellow conservative cofounder of The Dispatch, Stephen Hayes Trump described them as “two people who are finally out of the conversation and of no relevance whatsoever.”

Trump concluded his broadside:

“Where do these people come from? They have no idea what the MAGA movement is, and even less of an understanding of America First, which is necessary, and even vital, to save our Country. People like these are nasty, jealous, not smart, and of no use to the potential greatness of our Country. They talk, they criticize, and they complain, but they don’t have the ability or talent to get anything done. They are shortsighted ‘losers,’ and will never understand what it takes to Make America Great Again!”

Goldberg responded to Trump by tweeting: “LOL. Nice company though.”
