Some witnessed it but will never be able to talk about it. People that were armed with orders to shoot to kill. The feds knew of an unknown magnitude of people coming in. In war, declared or not, opposing sides can do subversive things to stay in power. After a year, the feds are finally admitting to sending in commando units to deal with the January 6 protest. Not all conspiracy theorists are wrong.
The Feds are silent
There’s a lot we will never know. Many websites reporting these things were screamed at for making up stories. But there are witnesses.
On January 3 a number of federal agencies met in Virginia to discuss options and needs for January 6. The Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, made the decision to move unilaterally.
The Feds may take things to their grave
Rosen made no formal requests of anybody. Entities would act independently.
Rosen told Congress later that, “I believe that DOJ [Department of Justice] reasonably prepared for contingencies ahead of January 6, understanding that there was considerable uncertainty as to how many people would arrive, who those people would be, and precisely what purposes they would pursue.” There was “no frontline role with respect to crowd control.” His focus was more “high risk”.
The Feds whispering
They let out just a little. Among the agencies meeting that day were several FBI units such as SWAT and Hostage Rescue, the ATF and the US Marshall’s Special Operations. FBI SWAT teams and snipers were deployed in the area the morning of January 6.
The Hostage Rescue team was the first agency to enter the building after it was breached. The Capitol Police and Secret Service worked with Vice President Pence to try to evacuate him but he refused to leave. This was all kept heavily under wraps with one lingering question. Why did the DOJ see this event as being more important while others agencies didn’t?
