Minneapolis is burning again after BLM mobs found their latest excuse to loot and destroy their city. The current outburst is related to the shooting death of 20 year old Daunte Wright, who was shot and killed by police while attempting to escape from a traffic stop. Wright had an outstanding warrant at the time of his death. Rioters subsequently broke into a number of stores and assaulted police officers repeatedly in a repeat of scenes from 2020.
BLM at it again
The state of American cities is on full display again, with many businesses in Minneapolis once again left devastated by violent mobs of BLM looters.
A liquor store, an auto store, and a number of other businesses were broken into and destroyed by rioters who largely left free to do as they wished.
Among the targets was a Wal-Mart which was already sacked last year during the George Floyd riots. Wal-Mart has been one of many corporations which has shown enthusiastic support for BLM and other left wing causes.
Feckless Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, showed characteristic weakness in response to the rioting, claiming that he was “monitoring the situation” and taking the opportunity to attack law enforcement.
Authorities have largely attempted to indulge the mob with similar statements. Thus far, however, their words have had little impact on the actions of the looters.
BLM adjacent looters evidently continue to be more interested in obtaining free shoes and liquor than in listening to the hapless state and local Democratic politicians.
The Minneapolis free for all is back
Daunte Wright allegedly had an impressive criminal past before the fatal encounter. Wright was allegedly a gang member and posted extensively on social media about running from or attacking police officers.
The circumstances of the shooting are not yet entirely clear. Reports indicate that Wright was resisting arrest at the time of his death and that he was attempting to evade police in his car.
The latest bout of rioting in Minneapolis may be a preview of things to come as the trial of Derek Chauvin continues and tensions rise as Summer approaches.
The city is increasingly violent and unstable and businesses, and any other sane individuals, would do well to stay far away from what has become a free playground for BLM looters.
There seems to be no end in sight for the troubles in Minneapolis, a city which has recently been the foremost pioneer in leading American cities towards 3rd world conditions.
Americans will be closely watching the Minnesota again this year as a harbinger of things to come for the nation. For now at least, most normal Americans will be staying far away from what is left of Minneapolis.
