It’s all about control. The government has been looking for a way to control the people, the virus gave them that vehicle. You can get sick even when you do everything right. Scott Atlas, an expert helping to battle coronavirus, was banned on Twitter for suggesting masks might not be necessary. Even if the social media CEO is dragged before the Senate we’re still probably not going to get the truth out of him.
Media is enjoying the control
All news media craves eyes and views. It justifies their existence. If people are even willing to look at the other side of that coin, they’d discover what Mr. Atlas was trying to show.
Even with the mandates, cases were exploding worldwide. Dr. Carl Heneghan, Director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine noted ‘It would appear that despite two decades of pandemic preparedness, there is considerable uncertainty as to the value of wearing masks.’
Media is not neutral
As much as they might claim to be. The agendas are obvious. They’ll even bite what might otherwise look like their own if that other entity goes against them. The CDC had information published that was later removed, ‘Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza.’
A link Mr. Atlas had tried to show a different side with an article that was marked as being “unsafe” when in reality it just presents another side. That other side represents a different point of view the media doesn’t want you to see.
The social media giant has more than one agenda
You can claim to be neutral to your heart’s content. You might even have the lawyers on your side. But Congress is considering stripping that from you. Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act gives Twitter the option to censor.
Some personalities have called Twitter a sewer. It might assume people are too stupid to understand a different side. Imagine the anger of somebody finally finding out that different side and the facts behind it. Why wasn’t I told this?
